Micah Usher is a photographer based in Asheville, NC. Micah moved to Asheville in fall of 2021 from St. Louis, MO and has also called Washington DC and Portland, Oregon home. His work has been published in The New York Times and The Guardian (online), as well as publications including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Riverfront Times, St. Louis Magazine, Go! Magazine, Feast Magazine and Ladue News. His work has been used to promote neighborhoods and business districts including The Delmar Loop and Soulard Historic District in St. Louis. Businesses who have used his photography include The St. Louis Zoo, the Missouri Humanities Councils, the Missouri Athletic Club, Armbar Nation, The Moonrise Hotel, Fitz's Rootbeer, Molly's in Soulard, McArthur's Bakery, the Melting Pot, Hodak's, The Big Muddy Blues Festival, Grub & Groove and Loufest. When not finding new projects or working like it's going out of style, he can be found hiking or swimming in rivers, playing disc golf or capturing 'moments in time' for his personal fine art photography.
